South Korean manufacturer Samsung is certainly no stranger to dual-screen flip phones (remember the Jackie Chan-endorsed SCH-W2013?), and it’s thrown another such effort on the smartphone barbie, mate.
Ladies and gentlemen, meet the oddly titled Samsung Hennessy. Is it named after the delicious cognac? Quite possibly.
The Samsung Hennessy was unveiled in China earlier today, and the spec sheet isn’t entirely terrible, most notably including a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz.
As for the Samsung Hennessy’s dual displays, they measure 3.3in diagonally, with resolutions of 320 x 480. They both welcome touch, and the outer display in particular boasts three capacitive keys.
Other Samsung Hennessy specs include Jelly Bean (Android 4.1), a 5MP rear camera, GSM and CDMA compatibility, a 1500mAh battery, microSD slot, and not forgetting the numeric keypad. Just tap thrice for a ‘c’.
No word on an international release for the Samsung Hennessy, but don’t hold your breath. Chances are it won’t stray too far from China and the surrounding territories.
Oddly, the Samsung Hennessy is thought to be a different phone from the Samsung Galaxy Folder, another device with dual displays and a numeric keypad on the inside. Interdasting.
