Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 and Galaxy Note III tipped for IFA 2013 release in September
These days Samsung rumours pretty much equals SamMobile, and today the skinny is that Samsung is planning on hitting IFA 2013 in September with a Galaxy Tab 3 and Galaxy Note III launch double.
The Berlin tech show has seen Samsung do plenty of business in the past, so it's certainly not a stretch to believe, even if the rumour comes with the usual lack of source-naming beyond saying it comes from “an insider”.

There’s still a fair bit of confusion concerning which devices will get Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) and when, but Samsung deserves a special mention for making an absolute meal of things with the Galaxy S.
First Samsung said that Ice Cream Sandwich wasn’t a possibility for the Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab, citing TouchWiz and memory restrictions, then it said it was having second thoughts before announcing a “Value Pack”. Phew.

The legal battle between Samsung and Apple keeps getting hotter – and frankly more brutal – by the day. According to Webwereld, Apple is now going after the entire Galaxy range in Europe.
That’s apparently the gist of a complaint filed by Apple in the Netherlands. An injunction would ban the sale and import of the devices in question, and since the Netherlands is Europe’s entry point, the case could affect the entire continent.

In the name of… Yes, it’s yet another Samsung story. Don’t shoot the messenger, man; we don’t make the news, we just write it.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7in was pretty much the only slate to grab a significant slice of Apple’s tablet pie last year, but it’s getting on a bit now. Good news for Sammie fans and Apple haters alike then; the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7in is due for a sexy hardware upgrade.

You’re all no doubt familiar with the complaint Apple has filed against Samsung in the US, essentially claiming that the Galaxy Tab and Galaxy S (among others) have ripped off the iPad and iPhone.
The case has led to increasingly ridiculous claims and counter-claims, such as Samsung’s request to see the iPhone 5 and iPad 3. Unsurprisingly, that request was rejected.

JP Morgan’s Mark Moskowitz, who warned of an "increasing risk of a bubble burst" in the tablet market back in March, has produced a new investor report indicating that Apple’s competitors have reduced their build plans.
Recently I bemoaned the state of the tablet scene, observing that the first wave of devices from big name competitors has given Apple little to worry about. JP Morgan’s latest figures certainly concur with that notion.
