More Samsung stores on the way, this time with Phones4U

More Samsung stores on the way, this time with Phones4USamsung and Phones4U have announced plans to open 15 Samsung-branded high street stores in the UK – just days after announcing a similar deal with rival mobile retailer Carphone Warehouse.

The new stores will be run by Phones4U staff, but will stock only Samsung merchandise – ranging from smartphones and tablets to accessories and wearable tech.

The two firms have already trialled the concept at a Samsung-branded Phones4U outlet in the Westfield Stratford shopping centre, and also ran some temporary stores during the London 2012 Olympics.

It's not clear yet where the stores will be situated, but it's safe to assume they'll be concentrated in major cities like London, Birmingham and Manchester.

Samsung is clearly planning a major push into retail this year – not just in the UK but across Europe too. Last week it announced plans to open 60 branded stores across Europe in conjunction with Carphone Warehouse, with 10 to 15 of them reportedly earmarked for the UK.

Well at least the p4u staff will only have one company's phones to know next to nothing about.

How did this article sneak in btw? Definitely wasn't there when I glanced at that weird love in for game music from Lewis that it was apparently published before.

So it won't be just Apple stores manned by people who have no idea what they're talking about?
