In addition to establishing itself as the world’s top smartphone and mobile manufacturer, South Korea’s Samsung is also one of the world’s most prolific OEMs. Hey, maybe the two go hand in hand. Though try telling that to formerly hyperactive HTC...
In any case, we’re hearing whispers that Samsung might launch as many as four new tablets in the first quarter of space year 2014AD, and – somewhat surprisingly – it could be an interesting little line-up.
Credit here goes to SamMobile, which in turn credits its anonymous “insider”. Beyond promising four tablets, however, he/she doesn’t have much to say, though we can put together a vague picture from various recent rumours.
There’s the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite, for starters, a modest 7in tablet that threatens to sell for less than £100.
And more recently we were told to brace for two spanking new Samsung AMOLED tablets, at 8 and 10in.
That makes four, by my count, though SamMobile throws a further contender into the mix, specifically a 13.3in tablet rocking both Android and Windows Phone.
With CES 2014 now just weeks away, and Mobile World Congress the month thereafter, inevitably it won’t be long till we meet Samsung’s new tablet goodies.
