How do I save YouTube videos to my Samsung Galaxy S II?

Is it possible to save YouTube videos to my Samsung Galaxy S II (to watch 'offline' without using further data)?

You need to search for an app - 'video downloader' or some such term. "Direktor" is one.
Google doesn't really permit the download of youtube clips, and frequently throws new problems at downloader apps.

On the S3 on the other hand the YouTube app let's you preload them. Some N7 ROMs were made to use that version.

I think the "new" style YT app allows you to do that on all Android devices, it lets me on my S2 anyway.

Isn't that a custom rom too though?

It let me on CM9, CM10 and WanamLite...so that's basically 3 different phones.

Aye, that's the one. I think any phone with the latest version of the YT app (I think that requires Android 4.0+) installed will be able to pre-load videos.

You can watch them later on a slow connection (2G).
