The iPhone’s personal voice assistant, Siri, has yielded no end of amusing news, including the time it suggested the Nokia Lumia 900 was the best smartphone in the world.
Here we’re writing about World’s Most Beautiful Lady, and future Mrs. Lewis Curdie, Scarlett Johansson, and her battle with the hit-and-miss voice assistant.
See, Scarlett plays a Siri-esque artificial intelligence called Samantha in the upcoming movie Her, which is currently sitting at an impressive 93% on Rotten Tomatoes.
However, around a week ago, it materialised that Siri was unimpressed with Scarlett’s portrayal. Ask Siri: “Are you Her?” and it might respond: “No. In my opinion, she gives artificial intelligence a bad name.” Or perhaps: “No. You know that it’s just a movie, right?”
Uhm, that’s assuming Siri doesn’t think you said: “Are you here?” or: “Are you heard?” Ah, good old Siri.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Scarlett says: “I feel like I’ve been betrayed. The other day I asked Siri how I looked and she said, ‘You’re the fairest of them all.’ So she’s obviously playing both sides. What the hell? What a backstabber, man.”
Ah, Scarlett. Now let’s all take a few moments to stare longingly at the picture above. To quote Wayne Campbell: "She will be mine. Oh yes, she will be mine…".
