Selling an old mobile: ebay or recycle

What would you say is the best option for selling an old mobile - ebay or recycling? In terms of money and convenience. I have never sold anything on ebay before so I wonder if that would count against me.

It depends on the phone you're selling. My advice would be to see what it's selling for on eBay for the exact same spec and condition as yours and then you'd have to factor in 10% eBay fees, PayPal fees, etc. Then check out the recycling sites and see what sort of prices they offer. I generally sell mine on eBay as I get a higher price, but I did get rid of one of my past iPhones through O2 Recycle as the price they offered was very good and the same price as what they were generally going for on eBay. It was less hassle recycling it, plus they didn't want the box and accessories so I sold that seperately on eBay for another £50 and was quids in.
