Almost eight full months into 2013 and not one new iDevice – iPhone, iPad and/or iPod touch – from Apple. Nothing. Nada. Zip.
But things are set to go Apple crazy from “fall” (or “autumn”, to you and me) onwards, and again we’re told that the iPhone 5S launch will get the ball rolling on September 10.
However, if it’s iPad action you’re craving, don’t get your hopes up for September 10 – according to “two people”.
The unnamed pair says that while the iPhone 5S will launch on September 10, the iPad 5 and iPad mini will in fact follow later in the year, but in plenty of time for Father Christmas.
That sounds very much like Apple of 2012, with the iPhone 5 launching in September and the iPad 4 and iPad mini following one month later.
Specifically, the iPad 5 is tipped to have a thinner body (again), while the iPad mini 2 is said to have a higher resolution (again). To be fair, my mum could’ve told you that, and she thinks “the BlackBerry” is an iPhone.
The jury’s still out on the budget iPhone, while Apple is expected to make a foray into “wearable tech” with the iWatch later this year or early 2014.
