September. Sweet Moses, September. We’ve got Samsung, Sony, Nokia and Huawei (among others) at IFA 2014, probably the iPhone 6 launch, and here comes another cheeky chap demanding our attention.
I speak of the Meizu MX4, and while it was originally tipped to launch this week, it’ll instead launch at the beginning of the Busiest Seven Days in the History of Mobile.
Like seemingly all Chinese flagships these days, the Meizu MX4 is tipped to launch in two flavours, specifically a super-specced superior model, alongside a more modest, affordable option.
The top-of-the-range Meizu MX4 will supposedly rock a 5.4-5.5in display with QHD resolution, 20.7MP rear camera (sound familiar? Think Xperia Z2), a Samsung Exynos processor, and 3GB of RAM.
Probably fair to say the lesser chap will have a 1080p resolution and 2GB of RAM (or thereabouts), though both models are tipped to support 4G LTE.
Fingers crossed the Meizu MX4 is actually released, and not just hyped to within an inch of its life before being sold in paltry quantities in flash sales.
Of course, it’s unlikely that the Meizu MX4 will be released in the UK, but we’ll be sure to let you know if it’s worth shedding any tears over.
Again, it’s September 2 for your diary, and in the meantime, Meizu tells us to “Think High”. Whatever that means.
