Why do we do this to ourselves? We really must stop looking at Chinese exclusive smartphones, as the more we can’t have something, the more we want it!
Here we’re drooling over the sexy Serendipity S7 (bottom; that's the iPhone above), a phone that stands out thanks to its remarkably thin bezels, yielding what’s very close to being an edge-to-edge display.
The Serendipity S7 finds itself in limbo at present, being sort of kinda launched, but not quite ready for mass production just yet, on account of that near bezel-less display. Quite a ballsy undertaking for a humble startup.
The bezels, incidentally, measure just 0.7mm. Pictured next to an iPhone, you get a good feel for just how thin 0.7mm is.
Further Serendipity S7 specs include a 5.5in 1080p display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, and 2,600mAh battery.
Serendipity S7 price isn’t clear just yet, but the Chinese startup is expected to announce more in the coming weeks/months.
In the meantime, a tiny trickle of 2,000 Serendipity S7 units was made available for the "offline market", though again, price is unknown.
Being a Chinese smartphone, however, we don’t expect Serendipity S7 price to break the proverbial bank.
