How do I share game data/progress between iPhone and iPad?

Sorry, I'm almost certain this has been asked before on Mobot but I can't find the thread :(

But how do I share game progress between an iPhone and iPad? For example - I don't want to have to play through Angry Birds levels that I've already done on the other iDevice!

One suggestion I found said you could do a back-up of the iPhone and put that on the iPad, but that seems quite extreme!

Given the amount of people who use both you'd think they'd make it easier.

Some games can use icloud but as far as I can see Angry Birds doesn't yet.

Did read some people say it's to keep it working with ios4 which doesn't use icloud but no idea if that's accurate.

You can use iTools to back up individual apps and then restore them on another iDevice.
Might be worth trying out if it saves/backs up games data, too???
Ironically, right NOW itools' website is down LOL But you can download it =>
