SIM only, Pay As You Go... what's the difference?

What's the difference between SIM only (for 30 days at a time) and Pay As You Go?

Pay as you go has no tie in and no minimum top up, however you pay for every call and text and Mb of data, unless you buy a pack or whatever the operator is offering. Sim only is a fixed plan of minutes, text and usually data for so much every month, you can leave in the sence whenever you wish with only 30 days notice.
