Will SKY's taking over O2 broadband have any affect on mobile?

Doubtful. Different infrastructure. I get wireless mobile broadband from Three where I live, but I have ZERO Three reception on my phone.
Revers goes for O2 and VF - phone, yes. Dongle/MiFi, no.

O2's fixed line broadband business is nothing to do with Mobile at all. Completely separate divisions. O2 broadband offering is made through Be, which is the bit that has actually been been sold to Sky.
I moaned about the takeover to O2 and i've now got 12 months free broadband and £100 M&S vouchers for my trouble.
