Can you get Skype for Bada?

Tempted to give Bada a whirl at some point, but can you get Skype? Does it have its own Facebook app or do you have to use the browser? How about Shazam? Ta!! :-D

I think currently only Three's Samsung Wave comes with Skype. Before April this year Samsung blocked all voip apps - s'pose to please networks.
You can IM via the skype java app.
FB is available. As is "music recognition" - via Sammy's own app, not Shazam.

Wait for Bada 2.0 is what I would do. Samsung will be launching 3 new Bada device at Berlins IFA this month.

Damn, your mobile knowledge is impressive, Jan :). OP, Jan's right, wait for Bada 2.0, there are betas available on samfirmware.com for some bada phones if you can't wait. They'll probably void your warranty though. Apparently Bada isn't a bad OS, sells well in France, don't know why France specifically, but it's true :p.

The reason why the Wave is popular in france is because it is often bundled with a contract for 1 euro... A samsung galaxy S goes for 150 euros...

Good reason ;)

also with a lot of hardware miraculously getting android a lot of us in france thought that it's very likely to get this port, the hardware being so similar to the galaxy S.

I think the Wave, (and Wave II), can run Android with a bit of fiddling, AFAIK there's a guide on XDA of how to do it. Though, personally if I bought one, I'd stick with Bada, as I already have an Android phone.

Indeed I have tried Android on the wave although the problem with it is the lack of modem drivers. Without these there's no GSM... Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think Android is ready for the wave 2. Anyway, getting back to Skype IMHO getting android on these phones appears to be the only way.
