Smartphone operating systems

I'm slightly confused by smartphone operating systems, but I think I've figured it out! :p Is this right? Bear with me here!

RIM only makes BlackBerry phones
Apple only makes iPhones
Samsung (and others) make Android phones
Nokia (and others) make Windows Phone phones?

Yep...
Palm and then HP made webOS Pre, Pixi and Veer phones.
Samsung sold phones running their own Bada OS and currently work on a new OS called Tizen.
Nokia also had the "MeeGo" OS on their N9 (and N950 which was a variant for developers only) and Maemo for the N900...
There's more...
Here's Wikipedia's list of mobile operating systems - they are not all "smartphone" OSs, though (S40, for example) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_operating_system

Nice plan confuse them with irrelevant old abandoned is. ;-)

Rim do apparently want others to make phones on bb10 but no clear signs of anyone doing so.
