Which smartphone OS is in third place behind Android and iOS? Windows Phone? BlackBerry? Something else?!?

Smartphone OS in third place? That would be, just barely, WP ahead of BB10. Though, I reckon there are still more Symbian devices in use than either of those 2 have shifted...

Windows Phone.

Android ~84%
iOS ~12%
Windows ~3%
Blackberry ~0.5%
Other ~0.5%

In terms of active smartphone users, both Windows phone and Blackberry have now overtaken Symbian. There are over 2.5 billion smartphone users worldwide right now.

When talking just about smartphones yes,

If talking about overall mobile phones then the picture is different as of course there are still loads of symbian users worldwide.

And yes, my numbers are always accurate haha. The percentages above account for units shipped worldwide for Q3 CY2014.

The numbers work out at around

~280 million Android smartphones sold in
~39.3m iOS smartphones sold in
~9.8m Windows Phone smartphones sold in
~2.0m Blackberry smartphones sold in
