Sony Ericsson unveils Live with Walkman

Sony Ericsson unveils Live with WalkmanAnother week, another Sony Ericsson Android smartphone. Today we’ve got a press release detailing the spanking new Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman.

As the name suggests, Sony Ericsson’s latest smartphone offering is very much music based. A bit like the Sony Ericsson W8 Walkman then. Did that ever see the light of day? Does anyone care?

The Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman has a dedicated Walkman hardware button, providing instant access to music goodness. Audio output is enhanced with Sony’s xLOUD technology, and - as with all new Sony Ericsson Android releases - "deeper Facebook integration" is promised.

Nikolaus Scheurer, Sony Ericsson’s Head of Product Marketing, said: “Consumers want smartphones to deliver a rich and social entertainment experience. Rather than a one dimensional music experience, they want instant and seamless access to new content, combined with the ability to share and connect with their friends.

“The Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman™ provides exactly this, in a powerful package with great style.”

Specs? The Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman has a 3.2in display, 1GHz processor, 5MP snapper on the rear and front-facing camera for video calls, 720p HD video capture, and runs Gingerbread (Android 2.3).

Availability? The Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman will touch down in "selected markets" in Q4 2011.

If this isn't budget priced, HTC and Samsung would blow this away before it even launches.

As much as I feel like Apple is an inferior company, I have to admit that best walkman + phone on the market is iPhone. It's not much of a phone anymore, but still best music player.
Sony does not stand a chance.

I like the idea of a Walkman Android phone but it needs to carry it off by having excellent music quality, and a great experience on device in the media functions. Hard buttons for Play, Next and volume on the device are also a must.

Sony Ericsson phones are all trying to hard to look cool, please guys just have the ends flat.

@CTPAHHIK
I think the best walkman + phone on the market is Zune + WP7! *gasp!*

Not yet, Blizzard. WP still needs an update to their OS and think of all accessories you get for iPhone.
