This year we’ve met the Xperia Arc, Xperia Play, Xperia Pro, Xperia Neo, Walkman-branded W8, Xperia Mini and Xperia Mini Pro. But Sony Ericsson isn’t content with those seven Android phones, no siree.
A couple of new devices were snapped in mid May, including the Sony Ericsson ST18i. A series of new shots of the handset – codenamed Urushi – have surfaced, this time coming at us from GSMArena.
The Sony Ericsson Urushi is essentially a smaller version of the Xperia Arc. Like the Arc, the Urushi will have a 1GHz processor and 8.1MP camera, and will run Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) with all the Sony Ericsson trimmings; y'know, deeper Facebook integration and that.
However, the Urushi’s screen will be a full inch smaller, at 3.2in. Impressively, it’s expected to retain the same 854x480 resolution.
GSMArena reckons the phone will land in September, suggesting an official unveiling is just around the corner.
