Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S now available on Vodafone

Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S now available on VodafoneSony Ericsson has taken Jan’s front-runner for Smartphone of the Year, the Xperia Arc, and made it even better. Meet the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S.

Vodafone UK has landed a cheeky exclusivity deal for the all-new Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S, so if you’re looking to bag one on contract, you ain’t got much choice at the moment.

The big ehancement over the original Xperia Arc is the 1.4GHz processor, which Sony Ericsson promises will deliver “up to 25% faster entertainment”. Whatever that means.

There’s also “3D sweep panorama” technology, meaning you can view 3D pictures from your phone on your 3DTV.

Otherwise, you’re looking at the same 4.2in display and 8.1MP camera, which – don’t get me wrong – isn’t necessarily a bad thing. As with all new Sony Ericsson smartphones, the Xperia Arc S ships with Gingerbread (Android 2.3).

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S is available from free on a variety of 12, 18 and 24 month contracts. Hit this handly link to check ‘em out.

Ironically, SE have improved two of the few features of the original Arc, that were fine to begin with...*facepalm*...

SE are going down the pan, we all know it ;). Even if they manage to drag up a dual-core model by MWC, it'll be 12 months to late and going head to head with the SGS3 and other quad-core devices...Bye bye SE, it was nice knowing you...
