Bad news if you had your heart on picking up a Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro anytime soon: looks like the latest Android-infused SE handset will only be landing at the end of next month.
With pre-orders for the Xperia Pro having gone live at the beginning of the month and Sony Ericsson having promised a June launch on its own website, things were looking good for a while there.
But not any more – it seems like the delay habit is hard to shake, and having seen the Xperia Play and the Xperia Arc having missed their initial launch targets, looks like the Pro now makes the full set.
Sony Ericsson's web store now has the Xperia Pro labelled for release in “late July”, which suggests the very end of the month, and the risk of that sliding into August with even the smallest of further complications.
So what are we actually waiting on? Well, the Xperia Pro as a QWERTY slider affair with a 3.7in screen running at 854 x 480, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and an 8-megapixel camera, with Android Gingerbread running under the surface.
