With the LG G2 now official, the rumour mill can shift some of that resource to phones that haven’t quite been announced yet.
One of those is the much-discussed Sony “Honami” Xperia i1, and the latest whispers suggest – hold onto your hats – that it’ll come in purple. Perhaps of more interest is the notion that it’ll launch in just under four weeks.
Those are the implications from a Sony Honami teaser shared by Chinese-language site cnBeta.
Said teaser features a flash of purple and the promise of further information on September 4 in Berlin. That just happens to be the opening date and location of IFA 2013.
While the 6.4in Sony Xperia Ultra puts the focus firmly on size, the Sony Honami slash Xperia i1 is in fact the same size as the Sony Xperia Z (5in 1080p), but with a whopping 20MP rear camera.
Other Sony Honami specs are thought to include a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, and a meaty 3,000mAh battery. Sounds pretty good to us. Presumably it’ll be water and dustproof, too.
IFA 2013 is shaping up to be potentially awesome, with the Sony Honami, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and HTC One Max all tipped to make their debut in Berlin.
