What do you think of the new Sony phones?

I quite like the transparent notification bar on the Sony Xperia S. Still not sure if I'd actually buy one, but I like the look of it :-)

It beats the SE Xperia Arc with its microscopic hardware buttons, imho...

Looks good but the hardware isn't going to be as good as the iPhone 5, SGS3, LG X3 or HTC Edge...it's a flagship phone with year old technology...typical Sony really.

tbh i dont get that see through bar... style over substance really... all it does is adds length as the buttons are on the black easel and the bar adds nothing...

Treab...what about those 3 white lights? Surely, that is added value? I bet it plays different lightpatterns depending on whose calling. Your pocket will light up.
Sony FTW!!! #yay

I think Sony needs to fix their software first. With lots of minor, but annoying bugs that Sony phones come with, user experience is not on par with competition.

Amen. Every single minute that I use a Play, I'm amazed by its bugginess, its slowness... Gee, I swear my HTC Tattoo was better. Heck, my pre-Belle Nokia X7 is smoother.

On top of that there is no development work done by XDA on Play. DooMLoRD does a great job with kernels, but they do not fix Sony bugs. Best and only ROM is CM9, which does not support keypad. Works great on ARC, but not very useful for Play.
