Sony tablets: hands-on photos

Sony tablets: hands-on photosSony is set to join the Android tablet party later this year, with not one but two devices, namely the S1 and S2. The manufacturer officially announced them back in April, and now we have some new hands-on shots courtesy of Notebook Italia.

The shots don’t tell us anything we didn’t already know about the tablets, but they look pretty cool, I guess.

The S1 has a 9.4in display and looks like a fairly standard tablet. It does, however, have a unique “off-centre of gravity” design, making it more comfortable to hold.

The S2 is certainly the more striking of the pair. It has a clamshell design, with two 5.5in displays. They can display two images independently, or combine to form one large screen. Er, with some casing running through the middle.

Sony has been doing a spot of official teasing, with a collection of utterly bizarre videos. The series is called “Two will”, and it's currently up to episode two of a promised five. You can check them out on YouTube.
