Sony Xperia Z - contract or SIM free?

Am I better off buying the Sony Xperia Z on contract or SIM free?
I'd be looking for unlimited texts, but don't need many minutes. Data... at least 100GB. Thanks!! :D

At the moment it's hard to see sim free as being better than the deal on front blog page or the previous one on affordable mobiles. Assuming you get decent tmobile reception anyway.

£624-449 leaves £175/24 is £7.30 though so the 3 mobile 12month sim only deal is just under.
Essential Internet SIM 200 12 months. 500MB data. 200 minutes. 5000 texts £6.90/month and can limit it so you don't use over.

Ooops missed that and read it as 100mb if it is 100gb it's got to be contract.

Oops! 100GB ......I'm a MACHINE! :p
Sorry, 100MB would probably do without tethering.

No worries haha.

The cheapest contract i've seen for the Xperia Z is £26pm on t-mobile. The rest seem to be around £31pm+

You can get a sim only from most networks for around £10pm or under, the cheapest being Three, T-Mobile, Tesco, Virgin. you can buy the phone for around £500 ish. Pondlife has already done the maths and the contract/sim works out pretty much the same cost ish.

Bit cheaper to buy the phone and then go for a sim only though.
