Sony Xperia E hits Clove, yours for £130

Sony Xperia E hits Clove, yours for £130The Sony Xperia E was announced back in December, and we were subsequently told to expect the modest handset to touch down in February.

Well, we’re fast approaching April, and the Sony Xperia E has finally arrived with online retailer Clove, rocking a price tag of £129.99. But with stiff competition in the budget Android arena, is it worth the moolah?

Clove has beaten O2 and Carphone Warehouse to the proverbial punch, with the latter amusingly still touting February 2013 as the Sony Xperia E release date. Yeah, I don’t think that’s gonna happen, guys.

Clove does, however, only have stock of the black Sony Xperia E at the moment. The white model is expected in “early April”.

Sony Xperia E specs include a 3.5in display (320 x 480, 165PPI), 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 512MB of RAM, a 3.15MP rear camera, no secondary shooter, and Jelly Bean (Android 4.1).

Meanwhile, for around £50 less, the ZTE Blade III offers a 4in display (480 x 800, 233PPI), 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 512MB of RAM, a 5MP rear camera, front-facing snapper, and Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0). Just saying.

For the same price you can find a Pre 3, and about 2 dozen other devices with better specs - except for that current Android flavour.

XDA could probably lend a hand with that though.

Yep. Superfluous device.
So are most Android devices, in all honesty.
