Sony Xperia M4 Aqua price: cheaper than expected (YES!)

Sony Xperia M4 Aqua price: cheaper than expected (YES!)The Samsung Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9 might be the stars of Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015, almost by default, but there are plenty of other interesting phones over in Barcelona, not least of all Sony’s Xperia M4 Aqua.

On Sunday, Sony officially set Xperia M4 Aqua price at €299, but there are already signs on ye olde cyber-web that it'll sell for even less, and that - dear friends - is a good thing.

Point your browsers at Amazon Germany, and you’ll find a Sony Xperia M4 Aqua pre-order page, where the price is set at €279. Ok, that’s only €20 less than we were expecting, but €20 is €20, man! That’d buy you a few pints to celebrate your new waterproof purchase.

It’s early days yet, but we’re sensing that the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua could become incredibly popular with deal-hounds, perhaps – within a few months – selling for south of £200. Ooh baby!

Why are we so excited? Well, fairly modest resolution aside, the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua is almost pushing flagship territory.

Specifically, Sony Xperia M4 Aqua specs include a 5in 720p HD display, 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB expandable storage, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, LTE connectivity, Android Lollipop 5.0, and a 2,400mAh battery promising up to two days’ use on a single charge.

And not forgetting the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua’s resistance to dust and water, something that isn’t typically found in its price range.

Thoughts? Could you be tempted to pick up a Sony Xperia M4 Aqua for around £200?
