Sony Xperia SL snapped in new colours

Sony Xperia SL snapped in new coloursThe Sony Xperia SL is being touted as the successor to the Sony Xperia S, and as such would become the latest Sony flagship.

It remains entirely unofficial for now, but that hasn’t stopped the Sony Xperia SL posing for the camera at every opportunity like some sort of smartphone slapper.

Just a couple of weeks ago, the Sony Xperia SL was leaked and pictured in pink (ahem), and a slightly odd purplish blue.

Now, courtesy of ePrice, we’ve got the Sony Xperia SL in – wait for it – black, white, and silver. Phew.

IFA in Berlin at the end of August is looking like a safe bet for an official Sony Xperia SL launch party. If so, it could potentially be going head-to-head with the Samsung Galaxy Note II.

Rumoured Sony Xperia SL specs include a larger display (seems somewhat inevitable; the Sony Xperia S is 4.3in), and a dual-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz. Sony isn’t expected to go quad-core till 2013.

As for Android version, it’s anyone’s guess, but – being a flagship – you’d hope the Sony Xperia SL would touch down with Jelly Bean (Android 4.1).

Don't forget, no quad-core (as pointless as it is, the technological achievement is needed to be taken seriously in the mobile market).

Where's the technological achievement in shoehorning a processor made elsewhere into a phone?

Battery management? Heat management? UI FPS increase?

None of which seems to have been achieved in any quad core yet so I guess that would be.
