Sony is ramping up its Xperia line availability - and you'll be able to get your hands on one of two new handsets in as little as a matter of weeks. May 7, to be precise.
Fresh from launching the pretty swanky and impressive (we know - we've been using one for weeks) Xperia S, now the divorce from Ericsson is complete, Sony is clearly throwing one big mobile party and we're all invited.
These newer handsets will be the Xperia U and Xperia P and are smaller than the flagship Xperia S. But don't worry - they still appear to be every bit as competent, marketed as the mid-range options rather than top-tier. Both feature dual-core processors and that familiar sleek look with transparent aerial bar at the bottom.
The Xperia U is a replacement for last year's Neo handset as the entry level handset and even though the display is a 3.5-inch WVGA job, it does have that 'reality display' that Sony's really keen on pushing right now, helping your snaps and you vids look extra sharp and vivid when played back.
Meanwhile, the Xperia P is a little further up the chain and bumps that display up to a 4-inch qHD screen.
As for the all important price - the Xperia P (available in black and silver) will set you back £330 sim-free whilst the Xperia U clocks in at £204. For more info, check out Clove.
