Sony Xperia Z4 and Z4 Ultra heading to CES 2015?

Sony Xperia Z4 and Z4 Ultra heading to CES 2015?It’s generally accepted that the Sony Xperia Z4 will land in the next few months, but the $1m question is: Is CES 2015 in Las Vegas - January - too soon? Should we expect a Mobile World Congress – February – debut instead?

Not according to some anonymous tipster guy, who says not only that the Sony Xperia Z4 will launch at CES, but that it’ll be joined by the Xperia Z4 Ultra. Huh?

The anonymous chap has sent a barrage of words in the direction of PhoneArena, promising a CES 2015 launch alongside a ton of Sony Xperia Z4 and Xperia Z4 Ultra specs.

Starting with the Sony Xperia Z4, specs include – we’re told – a 5.4in QHD display (2560 x 1440), Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, and a whopping 4GB of RAM. Really?

Further Sony Xperia Z4 specs supposedly include an improved 20.7MP rear camera with “two more lens elements for collecting more light”, and a 4.8MP front camera. The whole thing is powered by a meaty 3,420mAh battery.

As for the Sony Xperia Z4 Ultra, it’s said to have a 5.9in display (half an inch smaller than the original Xperia Z Ultra from mid-2013) with a “lower resolution” (1080p, presumably), Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 4GB of RAM, 16MP rear camera, and thickness of just 5.7mm.

If these phones pack Sony’s EXMOR RS IMX230 sensor (officially being developed at 21MP and 16MP), expect the Xperia Z4 and Xperia Z4 Ultra release dates to fall in April next year.

Too big, and - u less they get complete redesigns - too awkward... Hope they don't make the next Compact 5in+!!!

You think thats big Jan? check out Qualcomm's reference design for developers. http://tech.firstpost.com/news-analysis/qualcomm-snapdragon-810-reference-smartphone-tablet-hardware-goes-sale-243172.html

I hope Sony see sense and keep the compact the same size tbh (fat chance I know.)
