It’s been over two years since HP pulled the plug on webOS, and more recently we heard that the US firm is actively seeking to get rid of its patents, driving a stake through the operating system's heart one final time. Y’know, just for good measure.
But that doesn’t mean HP is done with churning out Android devices, and indeed we’re hearing about two new such thingies: firstly a mediocre-sounding phablet called the HP Slate 6 Voice Tab, and a tablet named the, er, HP Bowser 10 x2.
Starting with the phablet, HP Slate 6 Voice Tab specs supposedly include a quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz, 720p resolution, and Jelly Bean Android 4.2 – now two versions behind the latest.
As for the tablet, HP Bowser x2 specs include a quad-core Tegra 4 processor clocked at 1.8GHz, Jelly Bean Android 4.3, and 1920 x 1008 (huh?) resolution.
Assuming they do actually exist and stuff, expect the HP Slate 6 Voice Tab and HP Bowser 10 x2 to fall into the wallet-friendly category, much like the HP Slate 7.
