Strip the Difference Free iPhone review

Strip the Difference is utterly fantastic for so many reasons, each more audacious and frankly unbelievable than the last. It’s possibly the worst thing I’ve ever played. Ever.

The first thing you’ll notice when you download Strip the Difference is that it’s abbreviated to Free STD. Seriously. It doesn’t get much better than this.

I got a rough idea of what to expect when I perused the App Store reviews. A whopping 426 of 576 users awarded Strip the Difference 1/5. It’s a shame the App Store doesn’t offer a 0/5 option, but you know who does? Mobot.

Strip the Difference is a spot the difference game, and each time you identify an inconsistency between the two seemingly identical images, a lady (who randomly floats around on screen) removes an item of clothing. You really couldn’t make this stuff up.

The free version offers four girls. I reckon 22 year-old Eugenia from Russia is a little out of my league; she likes Louis Vitton, Bvlgari, Chanel and Vogue. Ditto the UK’s Naomi, 19. Her interests are music, movies and diamonds. Hell, I’m no sugar daddy.

I’m far more interested in Angie, 24, from the USA. She likes sports and reading, and seems quite down to earth.

But I digress. The bizarre bios are ultimately meaningless, as all the chicks end up dancing in their underwear, regardless of age, nationality, or interests.

Speech bubbles occasionally pop up as you attempt to spot the differences, such as: “Hey baby, help me look for something odd.” Uhm, ok. How about Strip the Difference? It’s rather odd.

Somewhat disturbingly, if you inadvertently tap the girl (remember: they move around at random, ahem), she says: “No touching! Look for differences.” In fact, sometimes she’ll say it even if your fingers are nowhere near her. Story of my life.

Of course, as with all free games, the developer hopes you’ll fork out for additional content, and Strip the Difference doesn’t disappoint. For 69p each, you can pick up the Sexy Girls Pack or the Dirty Girls Pack. I’ve bought a lot of shit from the App Store in my time, but that’s where I draw the line.

Reviewing Strip the Difference makes me feel sad. I’m done.

How long do you have to play until girls start taking underwear off?

Is there an option for addon that includes phone numbers and hourly rates?

Nice write-up Lewis Makes me want to play it to see how bad it is.

OMG, my first actual review! Good stuff. We just released a new version with iPad support, it's a universal app now. Oh, and you can vote for Miss STD! If you like Angie so much, vote for her. \(^o^)/

Is there Android version?
Any suggestions on how to improve this game? I never played and don't have iPhone.

We have a few features in the pipeline to add some more re-playability, like larger pool of randomized differences per stage, larger scrollable stages, powerups, and various achievements.

One of our biggest complaints is that the girls don't get naked. We try to keep it classy. If there's enough real demand, we'll see what we can do, but it'll likely happen on the android port first.

HINT: we get a bunch of requests from players asking us where are the differences, which kind of defeats the purpose of the game. ;-) Well, we added a feature where the girl gravitates towards the difference area at certain times. Sometimes this helps, but sometimes not because they may block the difference you are trying to search for but at least you know where the differences are approximately. :-D

Hahaha, not compatible with Desire HD. Compatible with Play, but I don't have phone with me.

Bummer because we made the android version just for you! I am surprised to see that it is incompatible because the stats show that there is 4 people with Desire HD using the app.
