Would it be stupid to buy an iPhone 4 now?

Would it be a bad idea to buy an iPhone 4 when the iPhone 5 is just around the corner? Will the iPhone 4 lose some of its value when the iPhone 5 arrives?

Sarcasm aside, (*that's my job ) the answer is correct - you will obviously pay money for a device that'll be old real soon.
On the other hand: Apple devices keep their resale value much better than the competition - the 3G S can still be sold for good money.
Also: if you need a phone NOW and you can get a good deal/contract with the iPhone 4 and you're not someone who always 'needs' the latest...heck, why not? The iPhone 4 will get iOS 5 in autumn. There are shedloads of cheap accessories around. etc etc...
On the other hand: we don't know what the next iPhone will look like. You may simply not like it. Also, who knows what launch issues the iPhone 5 may have(remember antennagate)....
So, kneejerk says, wait for iPhone "5". but the 4 may well be okay for you. The Samsung Galaxy S is still selling well despite the S2. And rightly so - many casual users wouldn't know the difference. So why not?
