Do you have to use the stylus on the HTC Flyer?

Does the HTC Flyer work just as well with fingers?

The Flyer works great with fingers. Its what HTC Sense was designed for. The pen is used to make notes on anything on the screen. You can scribble all over the homescreen if you want and share it to facebook, send it via email.. whatever you want.

Its a bit more than just a capacitive pen. The pen will work with the HTC Flyer, but I've just tried it with my Desire, and it has no effect on the screen. The phone doesn't respond to the pen.

It's not absolutely required, but just for finer detail like with that painting/drawing app. Other than that it's a capacitive screen just like most modern smartphones. (it's basically a capacitive pen which would also work on your phone)
