Clove has had confirmation from Sony Ericsson that they’ll no longer be able to meet the proposed launch date of April 19 for the Xperia Neo. Realistically, It’ll now be July before we get our hands on it.
Clove writes: “We recently reported that the Sony Ericsson Neo was due to arrive on the 19th [April]. We published this information on good faith, but since this post, there has been discussion of delays and we have now had official confirmation from Sony Ericsson that the Neo will not be launched until July in the UK market.”
The delay is attributed to the recent earthquake/tsunami/nuclear disaster in Japan. Clove adds: “They are working to find alternative supply solutions, but at this time, July is the earliest release date that Sony Ericsson wish to commit too.”
Supplies of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc and Play, which have already been released, are expected to see a dip in the coming months.
Ah well, they’re only phones. Perspective, people. Anyone bemoaning the delay deserves a swift smack to the chops, I reckon.
