Can I swap my PAYG and contract numbers?

I've just got a contract phone and wish to use my old PAYG number as my primary number. Can I do a straight swap between the two? They're both on the Orange network. Would I need to use PAC codes or could Orange do the swap internally?

YES you can move a contract number to PAYG, I have also done this with a Line 2 number to PAYG although they did not want to do it and I had to threaten them with legal action... So they can and they will with a little bit of encouragement sometimes required.

Orange can transfer your PAYG number to contract within 24 hours without any codes. They might not be able to transfer your contract number to PAYG. You have to call them and find out.

It would also depend who you gonna get on the call. If person is knowledgeable enough they can do anything.

I would like to do the same - were you in contact still? Both my numbers are with orange but I am still in contract on my phone. Cheers
