Swiftkey vs Swype

What's the best Android keyboard - Swiftkey or Swype?

Swiftkey has its own version of Swype baked in. I've not used Swype in years, but use Swiftkey daily. Great keyboard.

it's a bit like asking whether red beats blue, no? Huge fans of both keyboards.
You should probably try them - cause, um, I won't. I hate typing on Android... For me it'd be a question of which is least awful. That is the default HTC one... or that Go-keyboard

Tesco or Sainsburys? people say which ever is convenient and near to their vicinity. The same applies here. Once you start using swype or swiftkey you stick to that as both the functionality is same. BTW am using Swype since 5 years.

Too true... if your first smartphone was an iPhone, it's probably hard to get away from it.
If Swype was the 1st Android keyboard you gave a chance and stuck with, then that is that.
I reckon given enough time, you get used to any text entry method.
The huge range of keyboards for Android can be confusing. And rather than learning to live with one we all scramble to find the perfect keyboard. It doesn't exist.
I stuck with physical keyboards as long as possible - BBs, Pre, even some old E-series phone...
For reasons beyond me, I find typing on Android a painful experience. I tried many keyboards. Made an effort to give each at least a week. It's something Android that keeps me hating typing on it - regardless of how great a device otherwise.
Had I to choose: iPhone 5/S/c, WP8.1 and then BB10 on the Z30.

And that was beside the point, I guess *blush* Apologies.
