T-Mobile Full Monty - how does tethering work?

If tethering isn't included in the Full Monty, does T-Mobile charge extra? Or does it simply not work? Is there a tethering bolt-on?

Nope doesnt work. The only way you can get tethering on t-mobile is by going on one of their other plans which limits you to 1.5GB data inc Tethering.

Three's One Plan still includes tethering for the moment.

If you're on the old T-Mobile full monty plan before 6th of August then you can still tether i believe.

So it's a string bikini plan now then

<-T-Mobile business - unlimited internet and tethering works via mobile hotspot. I did not ask them, if it's allowed.

I'm on T-Mobile (not the Full Monty plan) and I tether anyway. I'm not even sure what my terms and conditions say, but T-Mob promise to never charge you more (or cut you off) for using data outside your allowance, so there's not much they can do if you tether.

Also, as long as you're not downloading tens of GBs per month, they're unlikely to care.

Have read that it still worked on sim only full monty despite not being permitted.
Guess they could charge for either though if they decided to.

Well you couldn't easily get too many 10s of GB as they throttle it quite a bit, erm I've heard ;)

Not without a change in T&Cs which would allow people to cancel their contract. The only things they allow for are "circumstances outside of their control" and "price rises in line with inflation of upto X%" (I can't remember what "X" is).

Depends if tethering is specifically mentioned as not being allowed.

T-Mobile have a way of fully blocking tethering apparently. It physically won't let you tether on plans taken out after Aug 6th. (according to a mate)

I'd love to see how long it takes XDA developers to find a way around that.

They still haven't gotten around T-mobile USA's tethering block...

Although i doubt it's the same thing here. Probably a third party app can do it.
