Does anyone here tether on giffgaff?

Just wondering what might happen realistically if I tether on giffgaff. I'd use it occasionally, but just to surf -- no streaming videos or downloading or anything.

It is against terms and conditions and if you tether you will be cut off without warning.

However, Giff Gaff have no official way of telling if you are tethering straight off so they just base it on your usage. Thats why some people have been cut off even though they don't tether. They just used a large amount on their handset and Giff Gaff thought they were tethering.

So yeh you can do it as long as you're not hammering the usage. Just don't start crying if they do cut you off as it's against T&C's in the first place.

3 (with the One Plan) or T-Mobile (with any data plan) are your networks of choice for tethering.

Tethering is allowed if you have a gigabag (£5=500MB, £7.50 = 1GB or £12.50=3GB) or PAYG credit

It is not allowed on goodybags that include unlimited internet
See http://giffgaff.com/goodybags#data for more info

But those gigabags are primarily for tablets or dongles rather than intended for tethering and definitely aren't as competitively priced.

So I'm clear, you can tether on the £10 goodybag only as its capped at 1gb whereas the unlimited plans may get abused

I can appreciate that but I think more than one plan should be given for teethering, maybe a £12 plan that is caped at 1.5mb to give people another option?
