Are third-party iPhone chargers safe? Got a back-up iPhone charger for £1 from Poundland!

If you go for an authorised third-party charger then you can be assured that it's safe. These will usually have the Made for iPod/iPhone/iPad logo on them and come from well known manufacturers such as Belkin, Griffin, Gear4 and many others. They may cost a few quid but you are getting peace of mind knowing that it will work and that it's guaranteed. If you go for a cheapo £1 charger then these generally work okay for most people but you do run the risk of the unknown happening.

I wouldn't leave my phone attached to a £1 charger overnight first time round. But hey...
For emergencies? Sure...
