An anonymous tipster has been whispering to GSMArena about a spanking new Sony Ericsson (or should that simply be Sony?) handset, with super-sexy specs.
The mysterious chap refers to the flagship beast as the Sony (Ericsson) Xperia Arc HD, and it’ll hypothetically grab the baton from the recently released Xperia Arc S (pictured).
The tipster couldn’t provide any specific juice on the processor, other than to say it’s “blazing fast”. At the mo, Sony Ericsson doesn’t have any dual-core smartphones. Your nippiest bet is the single-core 1.4GHz Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S.
Actually, the presence of a dual-core processor makes us wonder if this is in fact the same phone as the long-rumoured Nozomi. Hmm.
One feature the tipster did go into detail about is the video capture. It weighs in at 1080p, which is becoming fairly standard at the high end, but with the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc HD you can actually take snapshots simultaneously while it’s recording. Pretty cool.
We reckon a CES or MWC unveiling would make sense. As per tradition, CES will take place in January, with MCW the month after in Barcelona (such a beautiful horizon).
