T-Mobile launches red Samsung Galaxy S III

T-Mobile launches red Samsung Galaxy S IIIWe’ve been hearing whispers of additional Samsung Galaxy S III colours for months now, on top of the familiar white and pebble blue variants.

Well, if you fancy something a little bit different, you can now grab the Samsung Galaxy S III in red from mobiles.co.uk.

We only have a tiny wee picture to go on, but we’re assuming that the red Samsung Galaxy S III here is the same colour as the (former) AT&T exclusive – “garnet red”, we believe.

Of course, we’re also told to expect the Samsung Galaxy S III in “amber brown”, “titanium grey”, and “sapphire black” eventually.

Our friends at mobiles.co.uk have the red Samsung Galaxy S III on various (30, to be exact - all on T-Mobile) different tariffs. Here’s what you can get for £26PM (effectively £22.75PM with three months free):

  • 1.5GB data, 100 minutes, unlimited texts
  • 750MB data, 300 minutes, unlimited texts
  • 250MB data, 600 minutes, unlimited texts

Other than the colour, the Samsung Galaxy S III specs remain unchanged. The black Samsung Galaxy S III in particular is tipped for a 64GB variant.

Saw at weekend the red is at cpw, various networks but not sim free atm, 520 on p&go plus top up. Ouch

Colour looks nicer there than the pic above.

No offence, but you gotta be a tad, ahem, stupid to not put a phone like the SGS3 into a case.
So, a fuss about the colour is beyond me.
Same with the Lumia range. Have you seen Nokia's own silicone covers? They fit so perfectly that most people don't realise there is a case. So: spend a few bucks on a case you like. Instead Nokia waste millions to design different colours... stupid.

Would that apply to S2 owners too, as I can think of one immediately who doesn't.

I think there are many tbh and not sure just how much help a silcone case would be and I don't like the feel of them. Think a fair few go for slip cases rather than ones that the phone stays in all the time too.

I do think that colour is definitely in the mix of things that are considered on buying phones so not sure it's entirely wasted.

I suppose you are right. The way people "make" buy-decisions is often unrelated to what they end up doing. A colleague was desperate to get a WHITE sgs3. It now rests in the most cheap-a*s looking dirty-pink rubber cases ever.
