Torch 9810 and 9860 to join BlackBerry Bold 9900 in UK

Torch 9810 and 9860 to join BlackBerry Bold 9900 in UKThey weren’t exactly top-secret, but BlackBerry has now officially announced that the Torch 9810 and Torch 9860 will be coming to the UK.

They’ll join the Bold Touch 9900 as the first BlackBerry phones in the UK to ship with the spanking new OS 7.

So what’s the diff? Well, the BlackBerry Torch 9860 is an all-touch affair (er, hopefully not too much like the Storm), while the BlackBerry Torch 9810 is a portrait QWERTY slider.

The BlackBerry Torch 9860, as you might expect, has a larger display, at 3.7in. The BlackBerry Torch 9810 weighs in with 3.2in of screen real estate.

Under the hood, however, both Torches are pretty much the same, with 1.2GHz processors, 5MP cameras, and HD video recording capabilities. With Liquid Graphics, RIM promises “truly stunning multimedia and gaming”.

When are they out? How much will they cost? We'll let you know just as soon as we do. Or, if you're really keen, you can sign up for updates on BlackBerry's UK site.
