Toshiba's on a mission to get us all hot and bothered. As if the quad-core announcement overload at this year's Mobile World Congress isn't enough, Tosh has slipped one underneath the radar: an as-yet-unannounced Tegra 3 slate boasting an HD screen, Android Ice Cream Sandwich and what must be one of the skinniest bodies we've ever seen.
The super-skinny slate was given a once-over by Slashgear at the Nvidia stand at MWC 2012, and do a good job of showing just how slender this prototype piece of kit actually is - surely in the 8mm range, which is certainly enough to get us Excite-d.
Besides the model number AT270, there's no name yet to follow on from the Thrive and Excite, and we're not sure whether the specification is fairly final or subject to change.
But we'll be quite happy with it as it is, thanks very much: a stonking 1280 x 800 7.7in AMOLED screen, 1GB of RAM and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is a pretty strong start, and coupled with such a sleek design would certainly give Toshiba a fair chance of looking good against most rivals. Time will tell.
