Toshiba is no stranger to the tablet world, though consumers were largely unimpressed with its Thrive range.
Good old Tosh went back to the drawing board, and last month was publicly toying with various prototypes. Now, deciding that “one size does not fit all” (shades of Samsung there), Toshiba has unveiled three new tablets.
They are the Toshiba Excite 7.7, Excite 10 and Excite 13. No prizes for guessing the display sizes. Yes, that’s a 13in Android tablet. In fact, 13.3in to be precise. Cripes.
Shared specs include Gorilla Glass, Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0), a quad-core Tegra 3 processor, 1GB RAM, stereo speakers, SD slots, and a 5MP/2MP camera combo.

Interesting that the Excite 7.7 is more expensive than the Excite 10. To be fair, the Excite 10 is priced cheaper than the you-know-what, but, well, it’s not an iPad, is it? And is there really any demand for a 13.3in tablet?
Prices and dates are, of course, for the US market. No word on the UK just yet. Are you bothered?
