We’re still patiently awaiting the HP TouchPad, officially revealed over four months ago, but Pocketnow has sexed things up a notch with the news that HP has filed no less than six new TouchPad-related trademarks.
Unfortunately there’s not much to go on at this early stage other than the names. Indeed, it’s not entirely clear if they’ll be tablets or services. In any case, the newly trademarked names are:
Presumably the TouchPad7 will be a 7in variation of the 9.7in HP TouchPad; the TouchPadTwin could be a dual-screen affair; the TouchPadPro might rock some sort of slide-out keyboard. Maybe. It’s anyone’s guess.
In other webOS news, TFTS reports that HP – keen to pull off an Apple-style makeover in an attempt to appear “cool” – is working on an iCloud-style service of its own, with music, films and TV shows.
We can’t imagine Apple will be too fussed, but it’s undoubtedly good news for faithful webOS peeps.
