Can you trade in an iPad against the cost of an iPhone 6 Plus?

I don't think I'd really need an iPhone 6 Plus and an iPad mini. Could I trade in the iPad mini and get money off the iPhone 6 Plus?

Yes, Apple will let you trade one iOS device device against any other http://store.apple.com/uk/iphone/reuse-and-recycling You might be better off selling it to a real person, though. E.g I checked an iPhone 5. Maximum they offer for an as new iPhone 5 with all accessories is £220.

You can, but they royally rip you off. For a 16GB iPhone 5S in white which includes all the accessories and is in perfect condition, however is network locked, they'll give you £94.60.

I'd rather give the f*cker away to someone who'd love it, rather than let Apple re-sell it for ~£400 and make a tidy £300 profit in the process.

For a point of reference, the same phone would sell on eBay for well over £300.

That is ridiculous, indeed!
I'd rather give it to charity than let those profiteering middlemen make a fortune with Apple's blessing!

Same here. No-one who can afford a new iPhone SIM Free really needs only £94 towards it to be able to afford it and I know plenty of people who I'd rather help out with a nice, mint condition, sub-12 month old iPhone 5S than let Apple make even more money. That said, in reality, I'd sell it on eBay, but if the only choice was give it away or sell it to Apple, I'd give it away.

If you're selling a 5S for £94 and buying a new iPhone 6 or 6+ as a replacement, the total profit you're making Apple from the original purchase of the 5S, the resale of the 5S and the purchase of the 6 or 6+ is absolutely huge.
