How will I transfer data from my iPhone 4 to my iPhone 5?

Will I be able to save all my iPhone 4 contacts and texts and transfer them to my iPhone 5?

Um, this has absolutely nothing to do with iOS 5. To answer your question, iTunes backs up all data on your phone. Whenever the new phone comes out you would connect it to iTunes and it will ask you whether to set up as new or from a back up of your old phone.

Obviously you would choose that and everything including contacts, texts, emails and apps etc would be synced to the new device.

Not to rub it in, but Treab is right - until iOS5 is finalised and the 5phone is out: who knows?

Obviously, you are right, but then again - there always is the possibility of a maker to come up with an ingenious twist... For that reason, it might be a bit soon to tutorialise. (in the first Pre Palm made it almost impossible to import contacts from a Sim.... who knew a phone could be so smart)

or as its apple and they realise most people who buy then upgrade asap so decide to utilise bluetooth to transfer contacts..
