Your Samsung Galaxy S3 has limited internal storage - if I may: why do you want to transfer
files from the memory card to your phone's internal memory? Usually people want it the other way around ;)

Anyhow, as far as I remember the SGS3 comes with Samsung's File Manager app. (if not, download ES File Manage or Astro from the Play Store).

Use the file manager to open the SD card. Find the file you want to copy to your phone.
Put your finger on the file and hold. I think the menu then should offer you the option to copy or move the file. Click on Copy or Move. Next, find the location where you want to save the file or copy of the file.
