Transfer texts from iPhone to computer

Similar to a question asked earlier, but I'm wondering if you can transfer texts from iPhone to computer. We have OS X and Windows in our house, so either would work.

Ideally I'd want to be able to backup my texts and be able to read them from the computer.

Hope that makes sense! :)

Read this => http://www.wired.com/2013/11/backup-sms-iphone/

Or THIS http://www.ecamm.com/mac/phoneview/

To make actual use of those transfered message, you will need to pay for apps.
But maybe it's worth it? If there's more than one iUser in the house.

Having said that: those messages are backed up by iTunes, anyways. So you can always restore them to an iPhone/Pad/Pod...
