Does twitter use a lot of data?

Is twitter data intensive on Android? I have 1GB per month. Just want to make sure that's enough! Mostly just using twitter and email on the data side.

It doesn't use that much so you'll be fine with 1GB,

I recommend dowloading 3G Watchdog from the android market. It monitors how much data you're using and tells you before you reach 1GB. It's a good app to have as a precaution and to avoid huge data bills.

Twitter & emails will be fine though, Only streaming from say youtube/BBC iPlayer and downloading large files or loads of mp3's will drastically use up the 1GB. You can still do the above, but in moderation.

Can't see it being an issue, which version of android if it's lower than ICS pick up 3g watchdog for free from Google Play and it can keep an eye on data use, if ICS or higher look in data usage on wireless and networks section of settings.

Will add AC's post wasn't in thread when I wrote the above, would've just (useful answer)ed it.

True.
Careful, though, Mr goldblum (Mrs?) - some Twitter apps for Android (and iOS) download photos embedded in tweets. That can hike date usage significantly if you have many twitpickers amongst your followers. Usually you can disable those previews though ;)

Are those usually high res then as the ones in web pages did nothing to get my usage near 1/2 gb/m only downloading new roms pushed it higher.

True, but still won't use 1GB.

Btw is there a reason why my last comment was awaiting moderation? It' was weird.

Seems to be a perennial bug the devs cannot kill. Sorry. Should only happen if you include 'curious' links - which you didn't.
